Shoot-a-Song in Bollywood

Whistling Woods International offers a short practical course, 'Shoot-a-Song in Bollywood'. The course provides information on complexities of shooting a song sequence. It introduces how songs are shot in a film. On the demand of students, WWI invites prominent personalities as guest lecturers. On students' request, WWI combines international students' class with lectures in Hindi films, screening and set visits.

The course objectives are:

  • To discover various ways of visually expressing lyrics and music
  • To study how to create a song sequence
  • To take work experience with dancer and choreographer
  • To understand commercial Hindi song sequences

The break up of course duration is given below.

  • One day for Introduction
  • One day for Story Development
  • One day for Storyboarding
  • One day for Review
  • Two days for Shoot
  • Two days for Post-production
  • Three days for Pre-production

Whistling Woods International runs 'Shoot-a-Song in Bollywood' programme on a group request. A group should include at least five members. A group, who wish to start the course, should send the application for the same at least 2 months in advance from the start of the 'Shoot-a-Song in Bollywood' programme. The course fee is US$ 1, 800 per student for groups of 10 and above.

Note:

Students must pay higher or lower fees as per the course, which involves special facilities, workshops and equipments. Whistling Woods International has policies wherein students are required to maintain and obtain a Health Cover and the proper Indian Visa for their stay in India for studies.

Mumbai-Cinema and Culture

Whistling Woods International offers a short programme, 'Mumbai - Cinema and Culture'. The course curriculum includes many aspects of Indian culture like music, dance, art, heritage walks, dance & music performances, set visits, music and history of Mumbai, etc.

The course objectives are:

  • To discover key elements of Indian cinema within its cultural milieu
  • To focus on landscape and history of Mumbai city
  • To study various forms of Indian dance
  • To visit film sets
  • To introduce Indian culture
Whistling Woods International runs 'Mumbai - Cinema and Culture' programme on a group request. A group should consist of at least five members. Generally, the duration of the short programme is 1 to 2 weeks as per the participants' requirements.

It should be noted that the request application for Mumbai - Cinema and Culture ought to reach Whistling Woods International at least 2 months in advance from beginning of the programme. The course fee is US$ 700 per student per week for group of 10 and above. The course fee include following elements:
