Whistling Woods International offers a Certificate Diploma in Filmmaking. The duration of the certificate programme is 8 months. The certificate courses are offered in the following disciplines:

In the above mentioned certification courses, students get thorough experience of producing and developing films. This is a Filmmaking Foundation Programme provides students with information on filmmaking, fusion theory with practical exercises and entire film production process. Students acquire knowledge of basic techniques of filmmaking; learn inputs of acting, grammar of motion picture production, directing, cinematography, producing, editing, sound techniques and screenplay writing. Students are given theoretical concepts in the classroom and its application to the live project conducted by working professionals.
WWI has manifold screening facilities. A number of films from across the globe are screened in the classroom and students are asked to analyze them. This exercise helps them to enhance fundamental skills like music appreciation, film appreciation, literature & culture, production design and international art. These skills help students to develop and produce their own films. The course provides a designed module with defined course objectives. In the Certificate Programme, students need to create three motion picture projects on Digital Video Format including:
- My First Project
- Foundation Motion Picture
- Continuity Motion Picture
The course provides ample information on director's responsibilities in producing a creative film. The course curriculum reinforces opportunities for students to get into professional field. Upon completing the course, students can enter the entertainment industry as an assistance director.
The course focuses on script and the screen stage. It puts stress on technical and artistic knowledge. The course offers an opportunity to students to build up creative aptitude through live experience. Students learn fundamental techniques of direction that consist of:
- Directing actors
- Script analysis
The direction course mainly stresses on interaction of many disciplines. A director has to interact with crewmembers such as producer, actors, music composer, cinematographer, etc. The course consists of fundamentals of filmmaking like characterization, the grammar of film, storyboarding techniques, storytelling strategies, aesthetics, shot breakdown, etc. The Direction Programme consists of 120 hours.
The course offers students useful information on HDV camera. After completing this course, students will be able to qualify entry level. They can work as an assistance camera operator as well as light assistant.
The course provides information on the operation of digital video camera. Students learn all the aspects of cameras including camera structure, terminology, composition, lenses, operation, basic lighting, etc.
