                     Joint: A place where two bones articulate.

                     Locomotion: Movement of an entire organism from one place to another.

                     Fibrous Joint: A joint which does not permit any movement to the articulating bones.

                     Cartilagenous Joint: A joint which permits limited movement to the articulating bones.

                     Synovial Joint: A joint which permits maximum movement to the articulating bones.

                     Synovial Membrane: Membrane that encloses a synovial joint.

                     Synovial Fluid: A lubricating fluid present in the synovial cavity.

                     Ligament: A band of connective tissue which connects two bones at a joint.

                     Tendon: A band of fibrous tissue which connects the muscles to the bones.

                     Antagonistic Muscles: A pair of muscles which produce opposite action at the same joint. When one muscle contracts, the other relaxes.

                     Fatigue: A condition when a muscle fails to respond to the stimulus due to accumulation of lactic acid.
