NUJS - Recruitment Process

Normally, recruitment process is a two step process which is organized by Campus Recruitment Committee (CRC). The interested organizations are encouraged to give a pre-placement talk (PPT) to interested students at the university. The pre-placement talk usually includes important information like:

  • The profile of organization
  • Terms and conditions of employment
  • Career prospectus
  • Compensation packages

The purpose of PPT is just to provide an opportunity to students and organization to interact with each other. This interaction makes things easier for both the employee and the employer. They get to know about each other and both can get a fair idea about what to expect. Students who have cleared first round of interview will need to appear for the second round which is the final part of the recruitment process. Normally, the final placement is held on the university campus and lasts seven to ten days.

Organizations which are interested and may not have made a PPT need to inform to the CRC. These organizations shall be allotted a specific date and time during the recruitment week. Incidentally, interested organizations are requested to contact to CRC to decide their day and time for recruitment. Participating organization are allowed to follow their respective recruitment process which may consists of an application process followed by either campus or telephonic interview.

Since recruiters are allowed to follow their own process of recruiting, they are required to provide prior intimation to the CRC as to enable the process with no difficulties. Recruiters are also needed to divulge the terms and conditions of employment and compensation package too. The organizations may possibly make Pre-Recruitment Offers (PROs) to final year students before commencing of the final placement. Once students are done with internship, he/she may be offered such placements from organizations made possible by the CRC. Students who accept such offers need not participate in the final placement.

It must be noted that the CRC does not in any fashion encourage or assist individual applications for recruitment by students. The list of some of the recruiters is given as follows.
