NUJS - Eligibility Criteria and Application Procedure
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate. However, candidates who fall under reserved category need to score at least 45 % marks in aggregate.
Candidates who are appearing for qualifying exam can also apply for entrance exam.
Candidates must not exceed 20 years of age at the time of admission. Nonetheless, there is relaxation in the minimum age up to 22 years for reserved category candidates.
Candidates who wish to apply NUJS for admission to law programmes are required to appear for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form of CLAT from designated branches of State Bank of India, Indian Bank, and all participating National Law Schools. Candidates can also download the form through the website www.clat.ac.in
The prospectus and application form can be obtained by post. Candidates are required to send a request form along with Demand Draft of requisite amount to the CLAT office address. Candidates must ensure that the form should reach before or on the last date of submission. No form will be accepted after the prescribed date. CLAT does not take any responsibility in delay from post/courier side. Candidates should make sure that they are eligible to apply. If a candidate is found ineligible for admission even after his/her admission is granted, then their candidature will be remained cancelled without any prior information to them.
Important Dates for Common Law Admission Test (Tentative)

- Distributing of the application form from: January 2nd Week 2010
- Last date to collect a receipt of completed application form: April 2nd week, 2010
