NSIT - Reservation
The candidates who come under the reservation category as mentioned below will be eligible for concession in the minimum eligibility requirements. The candidates who fall under the reserved category shall be given relaxation in marks as follows.
Children/War Widows of Defence Personnel/Killed/Para-Military Forces/Disabled in Action.
Candidates who belong to this category will get a relaxation of 5 % marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes (ST and SC)
Candidates who belong to this category will get a relaxation of 10 % marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
Physically Handicapped (HP)
The candidates who belong to the category mentioned above will get a relaxation of 5 % marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
The candidates should be more than 17 years of age before or on the first of October, the year in which they seek admission. However, there is relaxation in minimum age upto one year only if the Vice-Chancellor approves it. candidates seeking relaxation in the minimum age must apply for relaxation only at the time of admission. candidates who are short in the prescribed minimum age with one year relaxation shall not be eligible to apply.
Note: There is no direct admission given to the second semester or any following semester of the course. In case the seats are vacant in the prescribed branches during the second semester, the candidates will be allowed to change the branch after the commencement of the second semester.
