NSIT - Eligibility Criteria

Delhi Region Candidates
Candidates from Delhi region will get 85 % reservation and rest of 15 % will be allotted to candidates from outside of Delhi. candidates must have passed any of the exams given below from recognized university/college/school located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. They must have obtained at least 60 % marks in aggregate with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics for admission to BE courses, provided that they have qualified in each subject separately.

  • Senior School Certificate Exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
  • Indian School Certificate Exam of the Council for Indian School Certificate Exam, New Delhi
  • B.Sc. (Gen.) Group 'A' Final Exam or equivalent exam of the University of Delhi.
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) exam with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics of the University of Delhi with grouping of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and equal weightage will be given to supplementary subjects or equivalent exam.
  • Any exam which is recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education by the University of Delhi.

For Outside Delhi Region Candidates
Candidates should have passed either of the exams, mentioned below, from the well recognized Institute/College/School situated outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi with 60 % marks in aggregate of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Theses candidates will be eligible for admission to the first semester of BE course.

  • Senior School Certificate Exam of the C.B.S.E. New Delhi.
  • Indian School Certificate Exam of the Council for Indian School Certificate Exam, New Delhi.
  • B.Sc. (Gen.) Group 'A' final exam of the University of Delhi or equivalent exam.
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) exam in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and equal weightage will be given to the supplementary subjects or equivalent exam.
  • Any exam which is recognized equivalent to the senior school certificate exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education by the University of Delhi.
It must be noted that the admission under 15 % quotas will be based on NSIT & DCE on All India Merit which is obtained in AIEEE. The candidates should have passed English as a subject of Study in 10th or 12th standard (either Elective or Core).

Ineligible candidates :

  • A candidate who had to leave an engineering degree course or equivalent degree after not getting allowable number of chances in any of the universities/boards in India.
  • A candidate appeared for annual exam of the year, in which he/she seeking admission, and placed in compartment.
  • A candidate appeared for annual exam of the year, in which he/she seeking admission and reappeared for improvement to be eligible.
  • A candidate who has qualified/appeared for the qualifying exam from Patrachar Vidyalaya or National Institute of Open School.
