NSIT - Application Details
Admission to the Bachelor of Engineering programmes will be made effectively by Delhi College of Engineering/NSIT for both, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology and Delhi College of Engineering. The notice of admission for BE courses is published by NSIT/Delhi College of Engineering around in the third week of June, every year.
There are different exams for Delhi and Non-Delhi region candidates as given follows.
- The candidates who are seeking admission must qualify the Combined Entrance Exam CEE conducted by the University of Delhi.
- The candidates from outside Delhi region must qualify the All India Engineering Entrance Exam which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
The requirements for eligibility
Candidates who wish to get admission on the basis of AIEEE/CEE are needed to submit a separate application form for counseling to NIST/DCE. If two candidates have obtained equal marks in CEE, then marks obtained in the qualifying exam in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics are added and selection is made on the basis of merit. To know more about the admission, the candidates are advised to go through the prospects.
- Candidates who are seeking admission against 85 % seats which are reserved for Delhi region must pass the qualifying exam from a recognized Institute/College/School situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
- Candidates who are seeking admission against 15 % seats which are reserved for outside Delhi region should pass the qualifying exam from recognized Institute/College/School situated outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Candidates who belong to the Physically Handicapped and CW category need to appear for CEE to get admission to BE courses. There is a separate merit list for PH/CW and General/ST/SC category candidates. The candidate must prove his/her eligibility at the time of counseling. All the candidates should produce original certificates at the time of admission. In case the candidates do not meet the requisite criteria, his/her admission will be cancelled.
