NLSIU - Eligibility Criteria
B.A. LL.B. (Hons. 5-year Integrated Course)
The candidates must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam with at least 50 % marks in all the core subjects with English Language. The candidates should be less than 20 years of age on July 1, in the year of seeking admission. However, there is relaxation for the SC and ST candidates. The upper limit for them is 22 years on July 1, of the year of admission.
To get admission to LL.M course, the candidates must have passed LL.B. Degree or its equivalent degree from a recognized university with at least 50 % marks in aggregate.
The candidates who are seeking admission to M.Phil programme should have completed LL.M. Degree from NLSIU or any other recognized university with at least 50 % marks or B+ grade or its equivalent.
The candidates should have a Master of Laws degree from any recognized university with at least 50 % marks or must possess M.Phil in Law from a recognized university.
To register for LLD the candidates must have PhD Degree. The LLD Degree is bestowed to a person for his/her outstanding academic record in the realm of law or inter-disciplinary studies which is based on law.
Distance Education Courses
The graduate candidates from any university can take the admission to distance education courses which are open to all graduate in any discipline. The candidates who are appearing for the final year of qualifying exam can also apply. There is neither age limit for the admission to its courses nor minimum marks prescribed by the exam committee.
