ILS - Admission Procedure
The admission to ILS Law College for a five-year law course and of graduation for three year law course is purely based on merit in grade 12th exam. However, no entrance exam is conducted by the institute. Candidates who wish to apply for admission should obtain the prospectus and application form on or before the last date as published in the admissions timetable. The candidates are required to submit the admission form along with the necessary documents on or before the last date of submission.
After the submission process, candidates will get selected on the basis of their merit. The institute will display the merit list on the notice board and on the institute website as well. The selected candidates will be called for the subsequent interview round to further the admission procedure. The student has to be prepared for the interview round which is said to be somewhat difficult as there are many scholar interviewers.
After the successful completion of the interview, successful candidates will be eligible for the admission. At the time of admission, candidates are required to pay the full admission fees by Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Principal, ILS Law College, payable at Pune. Candidates are needed to submit all the required documents at the time of admission. If they fail to submit the documents, his/her admission will be cancelled. Once the candidates are done with the admission procedure, their admission will be confirmed. It must be noted that the merit list will be published till the last seat filled in.
The institute has given the right to its candidates to claim for the seat regarding category and position in the merit list. The candidates can submit objections after the publication of the first general list. They have to submit the objection in writing before the last date prescribed by ILS. If a candidate's name appears on the merit list, it does not necessarily mean that he/she has gotten selected for admission. The merit list is subject to change as per the valid objection.
All the candidates must possess the necessary documents in original at the time of the interview. They may be assessed during the interview. They are bound to undergo the admission procedure before they are admitted to the course. The ILS has made the admission procedure very transparent.
