ILI CAT - Application Procedure

The candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form from the admission counter of the Indian Law Institute, Bhagwandas Road, New Delhi 110 001. The application form can be obtained either by paying cash or by Demand Draft for a requisite amount drawn in favour of the Indian Law Institute payable at New Delhi. The application form can also be obtained through the internet. To get the form online, candidates are required to visit the university website www.ilidelhi.org

The application form must be sent to the office drawn in favour of the Indian Law Institute, payable at New Delhi. The application fee varies as per the programme. The fee structure is given as follows.

  • PhD. : Rs. 750
  • LL.M. Both Programmes : Rs. 750
  • Post Graduate Diploma Courses : Rs.300

The candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form by post. To get the form by post they are needed to send the Demand Draft of a requisite amount in favour of the Indian Law Institute payable at New Delhi. The DD must be sent along with a self-addressed envelope of around 24x30 cms. size. It must be noted that that application amount will not be refunded in any circumstances.

The candidates have to make sure that the form must reach before or on the last date of submission. The institute will not take any responsibility for any delay or loss of the application form. The candidates must write 'Request for Prospectus' at the top corner of the envelope. Candidates are required to mention clearly about the programme they are seeking. They can write details like his/her name, address and course name on the reverse of the Demand Draft.

The duly completed application form must be sent to the university address as mentioned below. The form can be submitted either in person or by Registered Post/Messenger/Speed Post/Courier and must reach before or on the last date of submission. The form should be sent along with the Demand Draft for a requisite amount towards Common Admission Test (CAT).

The candidates who are seeking admission to L.L.M. have to submit the Admit Card (in duplicate) along with the application form. The candidates must affix his/her recent passport size photograph in the provided space. The admit card which bears center and roll no. of the Common Admission Test (CAT) will be issued to the candidates at the time of submission. The admit card will be sent by post to those who have applied through post. It should be noted that the institute does not take any responsibility for any delay or loss.

There is no entry to appear for the test without the admit card. Therefore, candidates are required to produce the card whenever they will be asked by the exam authority to do so. Duplicate admit card shall not be issued after the CAT. Nonetheless, if the admit card is lost, candidates can get a duplicate admit card with the approval of the exam authority.
