FTII – Admission Procedure
Candidates who are interested in taking admission to film and television courses are needed to appear for entrance test. Since entrance exam is mandatory for admission, every student has to take it for admission to any courses. The admission will be made only on the basis of his/her performance in the entrance exam. The Film and Television Institute has designated test centers across the country. The list of test centers is given as follows.

How to Apply?
Candidates who wish to apply for admission to the courses in film and television need to get the application form. The prospectus and application form can be obtained from on request with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1610 for general category. However, there is fee concession for candidates who come under the reserved category like SC/ST. They have to pay Rs. 1260. The fee is to be in form of Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India, payable at Pune. Candidates can also obtain the form in person from the Information and Facilitation Counter, Film and Television Institute of India.
Candidates are requested to fill in the application form accurately with complete information. No area in the form should remain incomplete. The duly completed application form ought to reach before or on the last date of submission. No form shall be accepted after the prescribed date of submission and no further correspondence will be made in this regard. FTII does not take any responsibility in courier and transmit and no complaint will be entertained for the same.
Candidates can apply online too. The steps for online application are given as follows.
- Get the Demand Draft for requisite amount drawn on any Nationalized Bank or India Bank in favour of Accounts Officer, The Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune.
- Go to University website and click on admission tab.
- Click on online application to fill in the form
- Mention the test center and the course name.
- Once you are done with the application form, attach the following documents:
a) Two passport size recent photograph
c) Declaration by candidate and guardian/parents.
