DCSMAT School of Media and Business organizes a number of activities throughout the academic year. These activities include:

Quality Management System
Quality Management System - ISO 9001 - 2000 is a two-day National Workshop. Lately, it was held in February 2007 at Park Centre, KINFRA Park. It was a certificate programme under the auspicious guidance of Mr. A.V. Krishnan and Mr. Anil Kumar from BHEL.
The employees from various organizations and students from different colleges participated in the programme. The programme was organized with the intention of providing insights about international organization for standardization and many quality standard requirements for various sectors.
The school organized Budget Focus in association with Indian Development Foundation (IDF). It was organized to analyze the impact of fresh budget o the diverse sectors of the economy. The workshop helped students to understand more about the Indian economy. Mr. Amir Ullah Khan, Fellow, IDF and Mr. Subhashis Gangopadhyay, founder director, were the chief guests who guided the workshop. The other participations included working professionals from the corporate sector, government organizations, institutional heads, officials and executives from well-known organizations.
The school organizes Talent Displays programmes every month. The aim of organizing this programme is to display student's hidden potentials to groom them in their respective field. The programme facilitates students to enhance their skills rather than just knowing about theory. The programme lays emphasis on practical exercises, which are very essential to become perfect in any area.
Dynamic Meditation and Yoga
The school arranges meditation and yoga sessions everyday. The programme is compulsory for every student. Health is very important during schooling. Therefore, yoga classes help students to stay fit throughout the academic year. It facilitates students in maintaining the smooth functioning of body system. It also helps students to increase energy levels. With the help of yoga classes, students get peace of mind and confidence, which is equally important in the student's life.
The students of DCSMAT Media School organized the NIPM Silver Jubilee Annual National Conference in September 2007 at Trivandrum. Well-known person Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy inaugurated the session
Cultural Fest and the DC International Book Fair was held in November 2007 at Trivandrum. The students of DCSMAT Media School organized this programme
The competition programme on 'Management Quality' was held where students won a number of prizes. This was organized by Trivandrum Management Association
The International Seminar on 'Small and Medium Tourism Enterprises in Kerala- the Local and the Unique' was held. The Kerala Tourism Department, University of Mississippi and the DC Group jointly organized the programme. It was held in May 2008. Students tried their best to organize the programme successfully. Students won various prizes for the best case presented at the seminar.
Students organized a productive and an eventful 'at home' session in July 2008 on the subject of 'Globalization of Business Services'. It was organized to welcome their counterparts from St. Thomas University.
