Marketing the Event

Center for Research in Art of Film and Television (CRAFT) offers a course in Public Relations Advertising and Event Management. The course includes various modules. The modules are designed with the intention of providing students with ample information about how to develop public relations, organize event management and understand the world of advertising. This module helps students to execute marketing event efficiently, which involves:

  • Sourcing and sending invitations
  • Preparing the event proposal strategy
  • Formulating a public relations strategy
  • Budgeting and buying advertising
  • Packaging and sales promotion
  • Publicizing the event by organizing pre-event and contests campaigns

Event Budget Planning
This module facilitates students to learn about the advantages and restraints of using a budget. Students are introduced to the major aspects of budgetary such as determining supplier fees, forecasting expenditure, determining deposits, etc. With the help of this module, students get an insight of budget planning. After completing this module, students can plan the event budget in a fine way.

Celebrity Events
This module aims at equipping students with insights into concerts and launches, organizing celebrity events, television allied ceremonies and events, national festivals, fashion shows, internet events launches, special theme events, galas, etc. Students are also given an opportunity to interact with celebrity agents and deal with celebrity wish lists.

Fund-raising Events
This module dedicates to teaching students how to establish a budget and achieve the desired target for fund-raising event. Students are taught different areas fund-raising that facilitates students to:

  • Generating sponsorship support
  • Onsite event management
  • Preparing an Event Action Plan for pre

Event Sponsorship
With the help of this module, students learn almost all the aspects of event sponsorship beginning from determining potential sponsorship market founded on the event type, location, time, assessing the selling points of the event, determining sponsorship, resolving sponsoring fulfillment responsibilities, etc. Thus, after completing this module, students will be able to understand event sponsorship.

Wedding Planners
Event management plays an important role in the ceremonies like wedding. It is not possible to execute the huge task without prior planning. The film schools organizes workshops and training sessions where faculties from well known firms like E-factor are invited to interact with students. They teach students how to plan for a wedding ceremony. Students are taught how to decorate for wedding, organize food menu, catering services, etc.

After completing the course, students will be able to deal with marketing the events, event budget planning, celebrity events, fund-raising events, event sponsorship and wedding planning. Students are given practical exercises, as management is not something to be learnt by reading books. One has to practice it. CRAFT equips students with employment assistance. However, students must possess all skills required to be selected.
