CEE – Eligibility Criteria

For Delhi Region Candidates

The candidates should have passed from any of the recognized College/School/Institute which is situated in the National Capital Territory of Delhi only. The candidates must have obtained at least 60 % marks in the aggregate with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. These candidates are eligible for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Engineering Courses provided they have passed in each subject separately. The following criteria are for Delhi region candidates only.

  • The candidates should have passed Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Exam, New Delhi.

  • The candidates must have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Exam with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics from the University of Delhi with combination of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and equal weightage to the supplementary subject or equivalent exam.

  • The candidates should have passed B.Sc. (Gen.) with Group “A” final exam of the University of Delhi or equivalent exam.

  • The candidates should have passed Senior School Certificate Exam (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

  • Any other exam which is recognized and equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education, by the University of Delhi.

The candidates appearing for the qualifying exam can also apply for Combined Entrance Exam.

For Outside Delhi Region Candidates

The candidates should have passed from any of the recognized College/School/Institute which is situated outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi only. The candidates must have obtained at least 60 % marks in the aggregate with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. These candidates are eligible for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Engineering Courses provided they have passed in each subject separately. The following criteria are for Delhi region candidates only.

  • The candidates should have passed Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Exam, New Delhi.

  • The candidates must have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Exam with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics from the University of Delhi with combination of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and equal weightage to the supplementary subject or equivalent exam.

  • The candidates should have passed B.Sc. (Gen.) with Group “A” final exam of the University of Delhi or equivalent exam.

  • The candidates should have passed Senior School Certificate Exam (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

  • Any other exam which is recognized and equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education, by the University of Delhi.

In addition to this, a candidate should have passed English as a subject of study in 10th Class or 12th Class (elective or core).

For Reserve Category Candidates

The candidates who are in the different reserve categories shall be given a concession in the seat reservation. The minimum necessity for reservation is as mentioned below.

  • The minimum eligibility requirements for the children and/or widow of personnel of Par-Military/Armed forces disabled/killed in action during hostilities who apply for seats reserved for them shall be allowed relaxation of 5 percent marks.

  • The candidates who are in the Physically Handicapped category will get 5 percent concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

  • For the candidates who belong to ST/SC category shall get 10 percent concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

Age Limit

The candidates who are appearing for the CEE should not be less than 17 and more than 25 years of age on or before the first October of the year in which they seek admission. Hoverer, there is relaxation in minimum age and that is up to one year only. The candidates who fall in the above category need to get approval of the Vice-Chancellor for relaxation in minimum age. It must be noted that these candidates are required to apply for relaxation only at the time of admission.
