A well-known Television Anchor and Deputy Foreign Editor with CNN IBN, Ms. Suhasini Haider was invited. He won Best Newscaster Award for two successive years. He addressed students at Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication on various subjects including news broadcasting.

He unfolded various aspects of news broadcasting. He further described that news broadcasting is not something about putting make-up, facing camera and reading news. On the contrary, there is a lot than what is said here. He explained every stage of making news in detail.

Inaugural Lecture
Mr. L.V. Krishnan, Chief Executive Officer, TAM Media Research delivered speech at inauguration gathering at Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication. He explained students how Target Rating Points (TRP) is measured. Mr. L.V. Krishnan has been associated with media for many years. He has tremendous experience in this field.

According to him, all television channels have been working on building interesting factors. In order to become different and innovative, every channel tries to employ new thoughts and ideas to their programmes. He further emphasized upon studying behavioural aspects of the target audiences, as it is very important to understand their choices.

Faculty Development Programme
Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication organized development programme. It was held in June 2008. The aim of this programme was to reinforce the skills of mass media teachers and working professionals from different institutions, colleges and organizations from across India. The speakers were from prominent colleges, institutions and organizations invited. These guests include:
