The admission notification will be released in the leading newspapers during April - May every year. Students seeking admission to the course need to apply in the prescribed application format. The prospectus and the application form can be obtained from the institute.
The form can also be obtained from Apeejay Stya House 14, Commercial Cmplx, G.K. II, New Delhi. Students can buy the form on payment of Rs. 750 in cash. The form can be received by post sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 800 in favour of Apeejay Insititute of Mass Communication, payable at New Delhi.
The application form for M.A. in Mass Communication will be available by the end of April. Students interested to take admission to above discussed course need to apply in the prescribed form. The designated exam center is Apeejay Campus, Institutional Area, Sector-8, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110 077
- Candidates need to appear for the entrance exam to be conducted at the Apeejay Insititute of Mass Communication campus
- The entrance test is for 100 marks and time duration is one hour
- The test consists of two sections including Objective type and Subjective questions including:
- General knowledge, general awareness, current affairs (50 marks)
- Questions related to the selected course (50 marks)
Direct Admission (Through Interview)
Students who obtained 60% and above marks in graduation, those who are pursuing final year but secured 60 % and above marks in his/her first two years, are exempted from the written test. Nonetheless, they need to appear before the interview panel.
Students will be selected based on their performance in written test, interview and previous academic record. The admission committee prepares a list of selected candidates. Students who meet the required aptitude in the chosen subject will be preferred.
Students will be able to appear for the exam of each semester after completing following criteria.
- Students are required to have good moral character
- Seventy-five percent of the lectures delivered
- Enrolled in the department of the course
Candidates who are working professionals need to produce 'No Objection Certificate' or 'Study Leave' from their respective employer at the time of admission.
Apeejay Insititute of Mass Communication provides separate hostel. The hostel includes facilities like boarding and lodging. It is for boys and girl on a limited scale. Students who wish to avail the hostel facility need to apply for the same.
