AFMC Interview of Candidate and Medical Standards
Interview of Candidate
- Candidates will be called for the interview on the basis of their performance in the written test. The interview is to be held at Armed Forces Medical College Pune.
- Candidates will be given date of the interview. However, request for changing the date will not be entertained. Candidates have to produce result/proof of having qualified in exam, which is held earlier, at the time of interview.
- There are two merit lists, one for girls and another for boys, to be displayed on the basis of candidates’ performance in test and interview respectively. Admissions offered to the candidates only on their merit position.
- Selected candidates will get letter of admission to AFMC-MBBS. The candidates, whose name is not on the first list, will be on waiting list. The result will be published in the newspapers by DGAFMS.
The selected candidates should be in good mental and physical health. They must be free from any deformity which may result in low performance of duty in the Armed Forces.
The Board of Officers at AFMC Pune conducts medical examination. The exam is held before taking admission to the college. Medical Board categorizes the candidates whether they are fit or unfit in accordance with the prescribed standards.
If the candidate declared to be Unfit, he/she is allowed to plea on payment of Rs. 40/-.
The President of the Medical Board will deal with the procedure of verifying candidate’s fitness.
