Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Tadepalligudem began on an auspicious day in June 1985. The founding father of this institution was the illustrious Late Sri Kalakona Rao, M. Com., L.L.B.
School Campus
The Bhavan is spread over a sprawling campus of 35 acres, ideally located on the National Highway No.5. The school is 8 Kms. from Tadepalligudem. Separate hostels for boys and girls from LKG to X. A fully equipped and spacious modern hostel is available for all students admitted in the school. The old and the new hostel blocks cater to about 350 resident students.
Teaching Staff
The “Guru” attitude consists in taking a personal interest in the student, inspiring and encouraging him to achieve distinction in his studies, entering into his life with a view to forming ideals and moving psychological obstacles and creating in him a spirit of concentration.
Pupils
The Vidyashram has two sections each from Class I to Class X. Each section has about 25 pupils. Thus the total number of students never goes beyond 500. Admission for boys and girls is given in a reasonable proportion.
Affiliation
The Bhavan follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (NCERT) syllabus.
Fees
Admission fee of Rs. 2000/- and fees for the terms are to be paid at the Vidyashram, at the time of admission.
Admission
On receipt of the Registration form and Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- the Principal will intimate details of admission test, interview and medical examination. On completion of this, admission forms are to be filled in at the Vidyashram by the Parent/ Guardian.
Sports
The school has made provision for extensive playgrounds. There are two football grounds, three volleyball courts, two basketball courts, one kho-kho field, one throwball court and one lawn tennis court. Physical training exercises, yogic exercises, drill and marching are compulsory for all students
Results/Exam
The school holds two Terminal Examinations, three Mid-Term Examinations and the Annual Examination in April. Besides these, there are periodical tests given at the end of the term. Progress reports are sent to the parents to be returned to the school promptly. Attendance in all examinations and tests, including oral and practical, is compulsory. Annual promotions are given on performance in these tests. Only medical leave can be granted during the examination. Children who fail to appear in the Annual Examination or a part thereof, due to sickness and are allowed medical leave may apply for special re-examination. A re-examination fee is Rs. 10/-. Pass percentage is 40 in each subject.
